DJ Gregsta's Top Ten
My Top Ten Tracks Of The Month
-
If You Should Go-Armin Van Buuren [Trance]
A new entry this month, Van Buuren delivers yet another gorgeous trance anthem with excellent vocals and one of the best breakdowns in recent memory making it the best track of the month.
-
New York City-Paul Van Dyk [Trance]
An absolute blinder of a track. Off Van Dyk's new album, New York City is a track that manages to blend the gorgeous lyrics of Ashely Tomberlin with a chilling synth. Down one this month, New York City is still an excellent track that deserves attention.
-
Piece Of Me-Britney Spears [Pop/RnB]
The new track by Britney is an instant hit. The original mix isn't as strong as some remixes but this is sure to light up the charts. The addictive vocals add to the overall quality of this track and it never fails to fill a dancefloor.
-
Rockstar-Nickelback [Rock]
This song is quite ironic really. Nickelback speak about how rock stars have sold out and have lots of money but yet Nickelback are pretty much huge rock stars. A wicked chilled beat and some meaningful (and ironic) lyrics have lifted this song high into the charts and it's well-deserved. A good song and still one of my favourites. This song is the highest mover of the month, up to 4th place!
-
Wearing My Rolex-Wiley [British Hip Hop/Electro]
Fusing electro with hip hop is a strange collaboration but somehow it works here. The rapping and female vocals are top notch and it really helps this track to lift into the top 10 hits of the month. The electro groove is equally as appealing and is definately a must-have track!
-
Cry for You-September [Clubland]
Cutting the riff from Tell me Why-Supermode and changing it slightly, Cry For You is an excellent example of how good remixes can be when done well. This song has been lighting up dancefloors worldwide and with a place in the UK top 40 chart, is definately one of the best of the month.
- Toca's Miracle 2008-Fragma [Trance]
In what looks to be a year that could see trance music resurface, Fragma gains a 2008 mix of the song Toca's Miracle. The remix itself is nowhere near as good as the original but has been a huge hit amongst the public.
- Stadium-Greg Downey [Trance]
Yet another trance song makes it into the top 10 this month with the excellent euphoric trance anthem Stadium. The track is catchy and works brilliantly as an instrumental. This song has had a lot of plays on Eddie Halliwell's radio show and is definately one of the better trance songs that has emerged this year.
- Flashin Lights-Kanye West [Hip Hop/Rnb]
The glamorous Flashin Lights first came to my attention through the remix done by the fantastic British Hip Hop group Kalestix. The mix by Kanye is equally as appealing but the rapping isn't as top notch as the Kalestix mix but is still a good track nonetheless.

Show Me Love-Mobin Master [Safari Mix]
I've heard this track played several times in clubs around the South East and it never fails to receive a huge cheer from the crowd. An excellent remix to the original and makes a worthy appearance here as one of the top 10 tracks of the month.
